Girls & Boys Nashville ft. Classixx

with Justin Faust, Crizzly & more

NYC's Hottest Party comes to Nashville!

Girls & Boys Nashville debuts with performances from Classixx, Justin Faust, Coach, Hands Off Sam & Cherub!

ABOUT CLASSIXX:

Barely into their twenties, Classixx has begun defining a new sound for the Los Angeles electronic music scene. A refreshing change from the trance and techno inspired Electro that has been dominating dance floors, their Donna Summers-esque grooves have caught the ears of music aficianados, fans and artists alike.  With recent remixes for groundbreaking artists such as Phoenix, The Ting Tings, Shiny Toy Guns, and the Sounds, their funky midtempo sound is turning heads everywhere.

Classixx are currently living in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.  They are currently single and can usually be found on the pages of TheCobraSnake.com

ABOUT JUSTIN FAUST:

Spicing up 'French touch' electro/house with his own brand of German flavorings, Justin Faust is riding a wave of praise on the blog circuit as well as a string of successful live gigs in the US and Europe. Faust has been stirring up the nu-disco scene for the past few years - notably with his Revenge EP that garnered the remix attention of Russ Chimes, and "Capri Spinoff" which appeared on many year-end best single lists.

He's since churned out remixes of Missy Elliot, Daft Punk, The Rock Steady Crew, Fare Soldi, Florrie and Heads We Dance, among many others and been working with artists all over the globe. Just recently he had a track appear on BBC1′s Annie Mac radio show from his much praised Discotexas EP "Holdin On". Live, he's known for dropping the floor with his blend of rich, energetic, and synthy melodic electro and has played alongside the likes of DANGER, Louis La Roche, Moullinex, Xinobi, Fukkk Offf and Kap10kurt.

ABOUT CRIZZLY:

WHATS UP WORLD??? My name is Crizzly. I'm just some kid from the dirty south making beats.

One time i was conceived at a Garth Brooks Concert in Ohio and then I made some techno music.

ABOUT COACH:

Jeremy Todd (aka Coach) hails from the Nashville electronic scene where he has 4 weekly gigs at clubs around town. He spins at local hot spots PLAY, 12th and Porter, and MAI every week and has accumulated a fan base that pulls from every different scene in Nashville.

His musical influences range from Daft Punk, Breakbot, Treasure Fingers, and MSTRKRFT along with many bloghouse acts that gain most of their notoriety through word of mouth. Jeremy tends to shy away from most Top 40 music and focuses on more underground music that most people do not get to here on a daily basis. Mashups and Remixes are his songs of choice along with a love of French Pop.

Jeremy was even in a musical group 3,2,1 Famous that you can buy on itunes and whose songs have made it onto some TV shows. His love for music is equalled by his love to just throw a good party.

ABOUT CHERUB:

Cherub is an avant-garde, electro-pop duo that is the dance love-child of 80's funk, and pop-music from the future. The members of Cherub, Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber share a love for honest original music and vibrant live performance. Cherub's music is a fresh electrified take on risqué pop music that brings to mind timeless artists like Prince, Zapp and Roger, and more contemporary Justin Timberlake. With a live show that is bouncing with energy, Cherub dances their way into the hearts of audiences from the first falsetto hook, until the very last delay filters out.

Jordan Kelley wants to "focus on making good music that is personally relevant, rather that pay attention to the conventions of any particular genre." Cherub brings a new light to electro-pop music. The catchy hooks, tasteful synthwork, and dance-demanding rhythms work together with honest lyrics delivered with a unique twist, to provide a musical package that keeps listeners bouncing around a club, and singing along the entire ride home.

Cherub's live performances captivate audiences with swooping vocals, soaring guitars, wild talkbox, and ethereal harmonies, from the drop of the first beat, until Jordan and Jason dance their way off stage. The Nashville Scene has embraced Cherub as their "nu favorite nu dicso duo." Since Cherub's formation in fall 2010, the band has shared the stage with highly regarded acts like Alex B, PlayLow (DJ Bowie & Krispy), Bag Raiders, Mimosa, and many others.  The duo is looking forward to a number of big live dates and short tour runs throughout the Southeast over Summer 2011.

"Instead of fearing the changes seen in music performance, with technology being so readily incorporated into everyday life, Cherub looks to embrace everything that is fresh and exciting, and we seek to pioneer a new school of music composition, production, and performance… and we plan to set the bar high! Cheers to the future!" - Jason Huber
