The Mowgli's

→ Official Website

The Mowgli’s are a Southern Californian band with a Southern Californian soul. The eight-piece started in a garage in the San Fernando Valley where many of them grew up. They’re bound together by an intricate social web that dates back to childhood and their harmonies carry a message of universal love and togetherness. Brother and sisterhood. It’s all about unity, having a good time, and the idea that humanity can achieve a higher-level consciousness.

They practice what they preach; everything is collaborative. Their music draws from a desire to grow together and a sense of security within the group. Like siblings, they fight, make up, and in the end, emerge stronger.

Their collective approach might draw comparisons to Arcade Fire or Broken Social Scene, but their sound finds its place somewhere between the folk-tinged rock n’ roll of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and the youthful upbeat pop of Cults, siphoning the energy of pop punk on a caffeine drip. For them, it starts with having a message and trying to say it in the most uplifting way, inspired equally by the magnetism and energy of San Francisco, as they are by the solitude and serenity of the Big Sur coast.

The Mowgli’s have set out to win your heart and save the world with love, laughter, and hand claps.

8 friends from Los Angeles who are making music with love, and making love with music.

Kopecky Family Band

→ Official Website

“Family” is a word that encompasses a variety of definitions. With that in mind, let this introduction to Kopecky Family Band be taken with an open mind and with a grain of salt. This family is connected not by blood or by heritage, but by circumstance. No, this is a family bound by the miles on their odometer and by the songs they have crafted over the years. These six young musicians have created a family through their commitment to each other and to their craft. Crack open your dictionary, if you need to.

the Kopecky Family Band – a non-traditional family, at that – is dynamic, and they wield an equally dynamic slew of instruments. Their thoughtful songwriting is supported by a diverse backdrop of sound. And the musical canvas is covered with broad brushstrokes – ranging from clanging tambourines and guitars, booming percussion, intelligent string arrangements, and triumphant horns. These six bandmates – siblings, if you will – swap their musical tools without a second thought, creating an emotive, adventurous, and energetic environment onstage.

In late 2007, founding members Kelsey Kopecky and Gabriel Simon became united with four friends who shared a mutual vision. They planted seeds that have been nurtured for the past five years through persistent touring and recording – and those seeds are rapidly reaching maturity. With thousands of miles traveled, and surely thousands to come, the Kopecky Family Band is only just beginning their adventure – and they want to bring you along for the ride.

The Rocketboys

For The Rocketboys, 2012 was a resilient journey. After nearly calling it quits when half the band parted ways in early 2011, the remaining three members resuscitated the acclaimed melodic rock band with a lush, cathartic album: “Build Anyway.”

Since “Build Anyway,” The Rocketboys have logged nearly 150 shows (with the likes of Twenty-One Pilots, Relient K, The Almost, and The Mowgli’s), released a brand new Total Recall-inspired music video (tinyurl.com/totalrocketboys), and created a rapidly expanding collection of new material for the band’s third LP.

Still inspired by the Mother Teresa quote that gave life to the band after nearly calling it quits, “What you spend years building someone could destroy overnight: build anyway,” The Rocketboys continue to build.
